We are a dynamic company that handles everything from small, basic steel fabrication and erection jobs to large, elaborate projects.
Based in our 3,020 m2 workshop near Cardiff, we can take on board projects however large or small.
Ideally situated close to the M4 corridor we are able to cover the whole of the UK and our site erection and installation teams are fully mobile and self sufficient.

As part of the Construction Products Regulations, a harmonised European Standard relating to structural metal components became mandatory on 1st July 2014.
This standard is known as BS EN 1090 -1
Since that date it is a criminal offence for companies to supply structural metalwork unless it complies with this standard and carries a legitimate CE marking certificate.
Powell Structures Ltd has been registered to BS EN 1090-1 (Execution Class 2) since June 2014 and all metalwork is supplied with the relevant CE mark certification.
We offer all aspects of structural steel, including fabrication, welding and erection. From small building extensions to full stand-alone structures, including portal frames ranging for 0.5 tonnes to 150 tonnes in weight all manufactured in accordance with BS EN 1993 and BS EN 1090-1, Execution Class 2.

Working in liaison with our clients and their design coordinators we offer a proactive input from design stage to produce exactly what the client requires whist keeping within budget.

Manufactured from both mild steel and stainless steel we offer a manufacture and installation service specialising in high quality industrial and architectural balustrade and handrail systems.
In finishes such as painted, polyester powder coated and satin polished stainless steel, we manufactured and install bespoke balustrade systems including structural glass balustrade.
All designed, manufactured and installed in accordance with Building Regulation Approved Documents B, K and M and to BS 8300, BS 6180, BS 6399, BS 5395 and BS EN 12150.
Designed and manufactured in accordance with current Building Regulation Approved Documents B, K and M, we offer the manufacture and installation of steel fire escape staircases and cat ladders with or without associated walkways and access platforms.
We can supply and install these in either primer painted or hot dip galvanised finish.
In addition to mild steel products, we have specialist operatives and craftsmen who are qualified and experienced in the fabrication and welding of stainless steel and aluminium.
Using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding procedure we can produce items in Grades 304 and 316 stainless steel as well as aluminium.
With all our clients and projects, we work proactively with design coordinators, structural engineers and architects to produce General Arrangement drawings for approval prior to manufacture.
In conjunction with our team of structural engineers we can design connection details from loading criteria provided by the client and project engineers
